The Wonder Of Live Webcasting
The sphere of technology has been reorganized so fast that many people have not been able to keep pace with it. Just when you catch on how to log on to the Internet and begin chatting on instant messenger, they come up with updated versions where you can speak on the cans as well . And then as soon as you get accustomed to that there comes the web camera that enables the other person to eye you. And this is not the case only with one feature of the Internet but with everything that is going round .
Indeed it is ironical that even today most of the people working with computers employ only a small part of the programmes that are available. To exemplify , a fair tradesman or manager would possibly be using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and may use the Internet to find some information.
One more interesting side of the whole situation is that young people catch on to newer technology and can use it a great deal faster than the older people. Take webcasting for example! I had no idea about it before I saw a program about Internet offense . To my entire repulsion , I found out that a young girl was using the webcams to show the various girls doing the rounds. And this was being done among her own friends without their knowledge and all to obtain some money .
Sad though it might be technology is a two-edged sword . The better side is that live webcasting can actually save corporate a lot of cost because now they can supervise meetings across the world using live webcasting technology. Documents can be split and demonstrated on screen and the people can exchange views as if they were all sitting round a table. If you actually turn off the lights in the room you may imagine that you are sitting in a meeting room.
The other advantage of live webcasting is that it can be used to communicate with friends and family across the world. It does not have to be as routine as typing away furiously on the instant messenger and neither does it have to be only a voice chat. You can sit in front of your PC and talk to your friends and family as if they were really there. The only thing you may not be able to do is to enfold them. But I will not be surprised if some new technology can deal with this aspect also.
